Life Saver
Guiding people to regain function, independence, and a sense of purpose inspires me as a doctor in Rehabilitation Medicine.
One of my patients, diagnosed in his 70s with Parkinson’s Disease, discovered that regular exercise greatly improved his mobility, strength, and balance. It boosted his overall well-being and gave him hope.
The bench press became his self-declared “life saver.” Through courage, discipline, and hard work, he set a new powerlifting world record at age 80.
He proudly shared his award acceptance speech with me—censored, but unforgettable… “Take that, Parkinson’s!”
